The Israeli human rights organisation Btselem reports that in the past 21 months nearly 1700 Palestinians were killed, of whom 1295 were civilians, and included 250 children, 77 civilians who were extra-judicially executed and 92 women. (Palestinian figures for the same period are 2390 Palestinians killed.) As for Israeli casualties, Btselem reports 630 Israelis killed, of whom 390 were civilians and 68 children.
