The Kawasaki branch of Yokohama District Court in Japan sentenced a Chinese man to death for a murder-robbery in 1999 in which three Chinese were stabbed to death and another three injured.
Presiding Judge Kiyoshi Habuchi handed down the death sentence to Chen Detong, 33, who lived with the six victims in an apartment in Kawasaki at the time of the murders in May 1999. He was found guilty of murder and causing injury, and robbing the victims of 53,000 yen in cash and valuables.
