A court in Jessore meted out capital punishment to a housewife found guilty of killing her husband. According to the prosecution, Anjuara Khatoon, 30, hit her husband Tipu Sultan with a spade when he was beating her on April 13, 1999. Tipu died on the spot.After examining the witnesses and records, Judge Motazedur Rahman found Anjuara, a mother of three children, guilty of the murder and pronounced the verdict.
