The soldiers were also charged with the abduction and torture of civilians in Misurata. Seven others were found guilty in absentia and sentenced to life in prison. The defendants Omar Nasser al Ferjani, Ahmed Bashir Faraj and Mubarak Alsauddi were found guilty in the murder of members of the Elsafrona family.
