The Mozambican Human Rights League has claimed that about 30 people have been victims of torture and even summary execution at the hands of the Mozambican police since the beginning of the year. The claim was made by the league's chairperson, Alice Mabota, who insisted that torture was continuing in the country's police stations, and said that proof of the allegations had been sent to the relevant authorities.
