The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed and adopted a resolution on the enforcement of the revised Criminal Code. Resolution 32, to come into effect concurrently with the revised penal law, said that some death sentences already announced would be commuted to life sentences, and investigation and prosecution procedures were to cease on cases of under-age offenders who are over 14 but under 16 years old and who have committed offences that can be penalized by a maximum prison term of seven years.
