The New National Party (NNP) called for the death penalty for baby rapists.
"Only the death penalty fits the horrific rape of a defenceless baby," the party said in a statement.
NNP spokesman Andre Gaum said in view of the second rape of a suckling baby in a matter of weeks, the continuing brutal murder police officers, and the continuing killing of farmers and their staff, the party urged government to seriously consider bringing back the "ultimate deterrent" for the most serious of crimes.
