The People's Daily reported that a former employee in Air China's finance department was sentenced to death for embezzling 24.3 million yuan. Zhang Ning, embezzled the funds from the state-owned airline between 1992 and 1995, and used 2 million Chinese Yuan in company funds for his own businesses, the report said.
