the president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights ordered that provisional measures be put in place to ensure Tyrone DaCosta Cadogan of Barbados is not executed. Cadogan was convicted of murder and has exhausted all this appeals. This order will stand while Cadogan's case is being determined by the Inter-American Court, after the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights filed an application against Barbados two months ago. The 29-year-old Cadogan was convicted of stabbing Paulette Brathwaite, of St Hill Road, Carrington Village, St Michael, 17 times on December 8, 2003.
