The state House approved a dozen anti-terrorism measures Saturday, including the death penalty for the worst terrorism crimes. The approved measures face an uncertain future in the Senate. Rep. Christopher Hurst, D-Enumclaw, and Rep. Barb Lisk, R-Zillah, were the bill's sponsors. The vote was 82-16 on Substitute House Bill 2879, which defines terrorism, creates a list of new terrorism crimes and punishes 1st-degree terrorism with death.
