The Uzbek Supreme Court upheld a ruling passed by the Tashkent city court for criminal affairs sentencing Iskandar Khudoyberganov, 29, to death. Khudoyberganov had been charged under Article 14 of the Uzbek Criminal Code and accused of membership of the banned Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.
