Thomas Provenzano, 51, white, was put to death by lethal injection in Florida State Prison, Starke. He had been convicted of killing William Wilkerson in 1984. He was the fourth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 47th since the State resumed executions in 1983. He was the 49th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 647 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
