Three convicted drug traffickers were executed in Shenzhen city in South China's Guangdong Province, state media reported. Yao Jinzhong, 40, a resident of Hong Kong, came to Guangdong's Dongguan city in 1999, to make and sell ecstasy in collaboration with his two accomplices, also Hong Kong residents. The three were apprehended in Shenzhen in May 1999, with 7,654 ecstasy bills, 2,310 grams of heroin and a large quantity of raw drug materials. The Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court sentenced Yao and the others to death, and their appeal to the Guangdong provincial Higher People's Court was rejected.
