Three farmers, a worker and an unknown number of other people were executed in China's capital, the Beijing Legal Times reported.
"Li Lianjun, Tan Zewen, Huang Zhenjiang, Gong Mingfa and others" were put to death on the orders of the Bejing High Court, the paper said.
It said farmers Li Lianjun and Tan Zewen, from the Beijing area, had been found guilty of killing and dismembering a man and a woman from whom they had stolen 2,000 yuan (240 dollars), two mobile telephones, a beeper and a bank account booklet.
They also killed an accomplice after the murders.
Another farmer from the capital, Huang Zhenjiang, was found guilty of killing a person and wounding two others by setting them alight with petrol because his girlfriend had left him.
Gong Mingfa, who worked in a quarry, was found guilty of stabbing to death two people in a scuffle. The paper gave no details of the other people executed.
