Three men who pulverised a security guard's face in a "sadistic and savage" attack were given life sentences for a murder that a senior judge said was like no case he had ever experienced before.Mr Justice Holland, sitting at Hull Crown Court, said Neil Colin Bower, 22, Michael Gregory, 20, and Karl Richard Kent, 20, all drug addicts, had displayed "uninhibited brutality" and that they had been "excited" by the security guard's death, carrying on with a spree of crime in a state of "hysterical aggression".His sentiments were echoed by the family of murdered father-of-three Stanley Twyman, 61, who said that only the death penalty would bring justice.Twyman's daughter Linda Simpson told the Yorkshire Post: "The judge gave totally the rightsentences as far as he could within the law but these men are pure evil. They are worse than animals. If we could have had the death penalty I'd have been happy to strap them in the chair and flip the switch myself. How can the family continue after this? There are 11 grandchildren who are desperately looking for Granddad every day and asking why he had to leave."
