Three people, convicted of forcing more than 50 women into prostitution after luring them with promises of factory jobs, were executed. The group had taken women from Guizhou, a poor, mostly rural area, to the booming southeastern province of Guangdong near Hong Kong and used violence to force them to be prostitutes in small hotels.
