Three Tory MPs resigned from the far-right Monday Club at the request of new leader Iain Duncan Smith. The move comes after John Bercow, appointed Shadow Chief Treasury Secretary by Duncan Smith, called for the party to be purged of Monday Club members.
He said it would be "morally right and politically cathartic" to kick out supporters of the controversial club, which backs the voluntary repatriation of immigrants and wants to bring back capital punishment.
