three Vietnamese were executed by firing squad for murder and drug trafficking in the country's first executions of the year. Hoang Van Chinh, 25, and Ly Ba Long, 31, were put to death at dawn at Hanoi's Cau Nga execution ground for murders they committed in 2003.
Tran Quoc Cuong, 50, was also executed on the same day for trafficking more than one kilogram of heroin between 2001 and 2003.
