Titus Onim, Vincent Wafula, Michael Oboo, George Watula and Juma Wambaro were sentenced to death by hanging after being convicted of robbery with violence. The sentence was passed by the Kisumu Senior Principal Magistrate, Mrs Olga Aketch Sewe, who in her 20-minute judgement stated that "All the accused will suffer death as authorised by law."
