Ubaid Bin Saud Bin Mishri Al-Beshi, a policeman, was sentenced to death and beheaded in Al-Dammam. A Ministry of the Interior statement said that Al-Beshi had handcuffed a boy and taken him to a remote area in the desert where he sexually assaulted him by force.Al-Beshi admitted to his crime at the Shariah Court. The verdict was approved by the Court of Cassation and endorsed by a Royal Order issued on January 26, 2000.
