Lomongin Abangira and Modo Lochode, all residents of Kotido town, were sentenced to death by Justice Stephen Musota after being found guilty of murdering Jessca Nalinga and her daughter Regnaldo Ngorok on October 17, 2005. The court heard that on the fateful day at around 9:00pm, Nalinga and the others were in their house watching a film, when three armed assailants attacked them. The two, together with their colleague, Apalokwang Lokwi, who is still at large, attacked the victims in Senior Quarters Ward in Kotido town and demanded for money. They shot three people but Achongoli, a relative, survived with injuries.
