Col Eric Mukasa at Karugutu Social Hall found Cpl Geoffrey Apumaku, attached to the 55 Battalion, guilty of killing businessman Paul Emotu, a bodaboda cyclist, on September 9 on Karugutu-Ntoroko Road. The convicted soldier intercepted Emotu demanding money, shooting him dead when he failed to give the money to him. The UPDF 2nd Division spokesman, Lt. Kiconco Tabaro, said Apumaku would be transferred to Luzira Prison.
