UGANDA: TONKU APPEALS DEATH SENTENCE

Thomas Nkulungira, alias Tonku, sentenced to death in Uganda for murdering his girlfriend Brenda Karamuzi in January 2010, filed an appeal at the Court of Appeal. At the High Court in Kampala, Justice Albert Rugadya-Atwooki, found Tonku guilty of murdering Brenda. Her body was found dumped in the septic tank at his home in Kijjwa zone-Bukasa in the Kampala suburb of Muyenga near Makindye.
