USA - Alabama. Max Landon Payne was executed

Alabama executed Max Landon Payne. Payne, 38, white, had been convicted of the 1992 robbing, kidnapping and killing of store owner Braxton Brown. Payne was the 6th Alabama prison inmate to be executed this year. Payne becomes the 44th condemned inmate to be put to death in Alabama since the state resumed capital punishment in 1983. Payne becomes the 40th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1176th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 2009.
