An Alameda County Superior Court jury recommended the death penalty today for Christopher Evans, 36. On July 16, jurors convicted Evans of one count of first-degree murder for the death of Tina Marie Rose, 28, and one count of second-degree murder for the death of Tommy Lee Brown, 41, on April 27, 2001. the shooting was caught by a surveillance camera. Evans is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Vernon Nakahara on Feb. 3.
