A Ventura County jury recommended the death penalty for Jeffrey Aguilar, 27, Hispanic. Aguilar was found guilty of fatally shooting Gurmohinder Singh as the 55-year-old man left a US Bank branch in Oxnard with $100,000 on Aug. 16, 2008. Superior Court Judge Vincent O'Neill set sentencing for Oct. 21.
