USA - California. An Alameda County jury says Anthony McKnight should get the death penalty

An Alameda County jury says Anthony McKnight should get the death penalty for killing 3 women and 2 teenage girls in 1985. 54-year-old McKnight is already serving a 63-year sentence for raping and attempting to murder 3 women. The jury said Monday he should be executed for the other 5 murders. McKnight was convicted last month of 5 counts of 1st-degree murder in the killings in which he assaulted his victims. DNA evidence linked McKnight to the slayings. He will be sentenced at a later date.
