A Volusia County jury recommended death for Joseph Jordan, 42, white, convicted of 1st-degree felony murder and robbery for the death of Keith Cope, 50, during the summer of 2009. Cope died July 13, 2009, of injuries suffered when Jordan left him hog-tied to his bed for 4 days in the Edgewater home they shared after robbing the man of his pick-up and debit card. It will likely be the end of June before a sentence is handed down by Circuit Judge R. Michael Hutcheson, Assistant State Attorney Ryan Will predicted.
