USA - Florida. A jury unanimously recommended that Zachary Taylor Wood be put to death

A Washington County jury unanimously recommended that Zachary Taylor Wood, 24, White, be put to death. On April 18, 2014, he and co-defendant Dillon Rafsky, 21, allegedly murdered James Shores, 66, White, in his home after ransacking it. It came to light during the trial that Wood and Rafsky had been in a romantic relationship. Circuit Judge Christopher Patterson will consider more mitigating and aggravating factors during a hearing April 17 before he hands down Wood’s sentence.
