USA - Louisiana. Judge Richard Anderson formally sentenced Lee Turner to death

19th Judicial District Judge Richard Anderson formally sentenced Lee Turner Jr., 25, Black, to death. The judge followed a May 8 (see) jury's unanimous recommendation and sentenced Turner to die for the killing of Edward "Eddie" Gurtner III, 43, and Randy Chaney, 55, on March 27, 2011. Turner confessed the day after the killings after initially denying any involvement. Turner said he shot Chaney first, then Gurtner after forcing him to open the store safe.
