USA - Missouri. Judge Patricia Joyce sentenced David Hosier, 58, White, to death

Cole County Circuit Judge Patricia Joyce sentenced David Hosier, 58, White, to death. The judge agreed with an Oct. 25 jury's recommendation (see). Hosier was convicted in the Sept. 28, 2009 murder of Angela Gilpin, 45, a woman with whom he had a relationship. The victim and her husband, Ronald Gilpin, 61, were shot at their apartment. Prosecutors said the couple had been trying to reconcile. Hosier was charged in both killings, but the status of the case against him in Ronald Gilpin's death is unclear.
