USA - Nebraska. A 3-judge panel sentenced Patrick Schroeder to death

A 3-judge panel sentenced Patrick Schroeder to death for killing his prison cellmate last year. Schroeder, 40, White, will join the 11 men already on Nebraska's death row. The visctim was Terry Berry, whom Schroeder strangled in his cell at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution on April 15, 2017. The grandfather of the victim said he blames the state for putting his grandson, convicted of forgery, in the same cell as Schroeder, who was serving a life sentence for killing 75-year-old Kenny Albers in 2006. Schroeder admitted to strangling 22-year-old Berry because he wouldn't stop talking. Schroeder did not fight the death sentence, saying he believes in the death penalty.
