USA - Oklahoma. A jury recommended the death penalty for Raymond Eugene Johnson

A jury recommended the death penalty for Raymond Eugene Johnson, 35, black, who is accused of the June 23, 2007 killing of former girl-friend Brooke Whitaker, 24, white, and her infant daughter, Kya Whitaker, seven months old. Johnson admitted killing the mother with a hammer and setting her on fire with gasoline, but said he did not intend to kill the baby.
