USA - Oregon. A jury unanimously sentenced Robert Langley to death

A Marion County jury unanimously sentenced Robert Langley to death for the murder of Anne Gray. In 1989 Langley was convicted in the Dec. 10, 1987 killing of Anne Louise Gray, 39, and the Apr. 14, 1988 killing of Larry Richard Rockenbrant, 24. Langley received two death sentences. Both sentences were overturned in 1992 by the Oregon Supreme Court because of problems with evidence. In retrials, Langley was sentenced to life in prison with a 30-year minimum in the Rockenbrant case. He was sentenced to death for the second time in the Gray case in 1992. The Oregon Supreme Court overturned that death sentence in December 2000, sending it back to the trial court. He was sentenced to death again in 2006, and in 2012 the state Supreme Court overturned the sentence. Today a new jury recommended death once again. Marion County Circuit Judge Mary James set official sentencing for June 6.
