A Travis County jury has sentenced Paul Devoe to death today. The same jury convicted Devoe, 46, white, last week of capital murder for the Aug. 2007 deaths of 15-year-old Haylie Faulkner and 17-year-old Danielle Hensley. In all, he's accused of killing six people. Devoe is also accused of killing Faulkner's mother, ex-girlfriend Paula Griffith, 46, and her boyfriend, Jay Feltner, 48. Faulkner, Hensley, Griffith and Feltner were all murdered in Griffith's home on Aug. 26, 2007. Two days earlier, Devoe allegedly killed Michael Allred, 41, a bartender, after an altercation in which Devoe allegedly tried to shoot former girlfriend Glenda Purcell. After the murders, police say Devoe drove north and killed Betty Jane Dehart, 81, in Pennsylvania, and stole her car. He still has not been tried in the other deaths. State District Judge Brenda Kennedy read the verdict.
