USA - Texas. Jury sentenced Naim Rasool Muhammad, 34, Black, to death

A Dallas County jury sentenced Naim Rasool Muhammad, 34, Black, to death. Muhammad was found guilty last week in the drowning deaths of his sons. Muhammad sayid "he killed his young sons because their mother had started dating someone new, and he felt he was losing his chance to be a father." Muhammad kidnapped the two boys, 3-year-old Elijah and 5-year-old Naim, along with their mother, Kametra Sampson, in August 2011. He forced everyone into his car, but Sampson was able to jump out and go for help. Reports say before authorities caught up with Muhammad, he too his two boys to a creek where he told them to pretend they were swimming. He then held their bodies underwater until they both drowned. That same day Muhammad attempted to kidnap his youngest child, a 1-year-old, from another location but was unsuccessful.
