Uzbek TV's "Tahlilnoma" weekly analytical program criticized the USA for not completely abolishing capital punishment.
"The USA which boasts that it is the centre of democracy is still applying capital punishment in more than 34 of its states. However, this issue has been resolved in our country by a decree," the deputy prosecutor of the capital's Hamza district, Gennadiy Davletov, said. The report went on to say that the USA executed 350 innocent people last century. "For example, the US justice system officially admitted that 350 innocent people were executed within the period of 85 years of the last century.”
