VIETNAM. TWO MEN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR ROBBERY, MURDER

a court in Vietnam’s highland province of Lam Dong sentenced to death two men after they mugged and murdered a taxi driver in June 2006. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Nguyen Dang Ngoc, both 23, received the death penalties on charges of murder and robbery. They hired a taxi from Ho Chi Minh City to Lam Dong, and murdered taxi driver Luong Quoc Anh, discarding his body to the Prenn foothill in Lam Dong province.
