William Reeves a British man who was Fiji's last state executioner has left his money to local charities. He arrived in Fiji from England in the 1930s and stayed until his death, at the age of 91, in December 2000. He executed a number of murderers at Suva Jail through the 1950s and 1960s until the death penalty was suspended in the mid-1960s.
