With the approval of the Higher People's Court, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court, in Sichuan Province, China, tried 12 "drug criminals" and executed six "principal criminals", including Wu Kaiyou. The court also executed Zhu Qianghua. "On 20 December 2002, Zhu colluded with three other people to buy 2.43 kg of heroin across the border and transported the drugs from Kunming to Luzhou," the Tianfu Zaobao reported.
