Wuhan Intermediate People's Court, in Hubei Province, China, sentenced 11 people to death for trafficking and transporting drugs. They also burned 140 kg of narcotics. It was alleged that from July 1997 to February 2002, Xiao Ziqiang colluded with others to buy drugs in Guangzhou and transport them to Wuhan. Xiao trafficked in 42 kg of heroin; Dai Donggui transported 28 kg of heroin; Ruan Guohua trafficked in 353 g of heroin and transported 28 kg of heroin; Luo Lanqing transported 36 kg of heroin; and Wang Zhiyong transported 28 kg of heroin.
