A 13-year-old boy pleaded not guilty in the High Court in Kuala Lumpur to murdering an 11-year-old girl at her house at Taman Seri Rampai in Wangsa Maju

A 13-year-old boy pleaded not guilty in the High Court in Kuala Lumpur to murdering an 11-year-old girl at her house at Taman Seri Rampai in Wangsa Maju.The Form One student is alleged to have caused the death of the Standard Five student, Liew Mei Fong, on May 30.He is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the mandatory death sentence on conviction.Justice Datuk Wira Mohamed Ghazali Mohamed Yusoff denied defence counsel K.Balaguru's application for bail because murder is an non-bailable of fence.Balaguru made the application under Section 388(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code which states that the court has jurisdiction to allow bail in a non-bailable offence.The boy was first charged in the Magistrate's Court here on June 17.
