A Chechen deputy in the State Duma lower house of parliament said that he did not believe possible raids by the USA on Afghanistan would contribute to successful fight against international terrorism.
According to Aslanbek Aslakhanov, statements by U.S. authorities about acts of revenge for the September 11 terrorist acts in New York and Washington "will only keep people in suspense throughout the entire Arab world."
However, he believes it would be necessary for all countries to pass one law on fight against terrorism and drug trafficking, which would punish those crimes with death penalty or life imprisonment.
