A court awarded capital punishment to seven people in a murder case. The convicts are: Ismail Hossain Montu, Robiul Islam, Mizanur Rahman, Ohidul Islam, Zulfikar Ali, Abdul Wahab and Ajgar Ali. According to the prosecution in brief, the convicts shot dead lawyer and headmaster of Subornasora High School Abul Hossain, 36, in Kaliganj upazila on March 5, 1997 as he refused to pay them Tk one lakh as toll.
