A court in Kuhlna, Bangladesh, sentenced Silvester Roy to death for killing his wife. According to the prosecution, following a family feud, Roy took his wife Mahmuda Khatun to Char Mathurabad in the Dumuria district on the night of July 5, 2000 and murdered her. He later dumped the body in a nearby ditch.
