A Gaya court convicted nine of the 13 accused in the Bara massacre case giving the death sentence to four, life imprisonment to as many and 10-year's rigorous imprisonment to one.The case was related to an incident in which heavily-armed Maoist Communist Centre activists hacked to death 35 upper caste people at Bara village in the Gaya district on February 12, 1992.Judge Jawahar Lal Chaudhary condemned Veer Kunwar Dusadh, Nanhe Lal Mochi, Krishna Mochi and Dharu Sing to death after finding them guilty of mass murder and ordered them to hang till death. The other four accused were acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence against them in the course of trial.
