A Jefferson Parish jury decided that Christopher Arceneaux should be put to death. Arceneaux, 19, was found guilty Wednesday of the Oct. 27, 2002 murder of Dena Mansour, 33. Jurors had heard a taped confession in which Arceneaux told detectives that he shot Mansour. A second suspect, Richard LaViolette, 18, is to be tried on a charge of first-degree murder at a later date. Judge Greg Guidry of the 24th Judicial District Court is scheduled to formally sentence Arceneaux to death March 30.
