A man who stabbed his wife to death was sentenced to death by the Uganda High Court which sat in Lira.Justice Augustine Kania found William Okwang guilty of murdering Caroline Akia, a mother of eight.
In Okwang's defence, counsels Morris Ogang and Jude Atiang, said he committed the crime without premeditation or malice. He said a man, whom he accused of impregnating his wife, the late Akia, provoked him.
He said he had no intention of killing his wife but had wanted to kill the stranger.
