Abdul Khaleque was sentenced to death by a special tribunal court in Bangladesh for killing his wife. According to the prosecution, Khaleque mercilessly beat Fahima, 21, for failure to bring Tk 50,000 as dowry from her parents on May 12, 2002. She died soon after.
