After committing one of the most heinous crimes this country has seen, Katherine Mary Knight, 45, became the first woman marked never to be released from jail.Her crime - involving the ritual slaying of her de facto husband John Price and defiling his body for a cannibal feast - was enough to convince New South Wales Supreme Court judge Barry O'Keefe of her continuing menace."Parole should never be considered for her [and] the prisoner should never be released," he told a packed Newcastle courtroom.Outside the court Mr Price's son Jonathan said while he was relieved Knight would never be released, he believed the death sentence would have been more appropriate.
